Silence of the Lambs

The movie that I chose that was in one of the top 100 film lists was The Silence of the Lambs. This movie is not to scary but it is a thriller. So the in the beginning of the film it started of by showing a young girl who is a trainee at the FBI. So she was at a school to become a full time FBI agent. When she is on the run she is called into one of the higher up people for a meeting. The guy who is Mr. Crawford wants to send Clarice the trainee to do a questionnaire to the psychiatrist Hannibal Lecter. Before she talks to Mr. Crawford she notices all of the papers of Buffalo Bill the most recent killer in the news.  When Clarice meets with Hannibal, it is very strange because how strange he is. Although Clarice tries really hard to get Hannibal to answers the questions he resists and does not. But on the other hand after a pretty long conversation Hannibal tells Clarice to look deep into yourself and mentions the name Mofet. After this meeting Clarice is a little shaken up and has a flashback to her and her dad. There wasn’t anything to big that happened in that flashback but after she is crying by the side of her car. She does a lot of research and finds a storage center called your-self storage and there is a storage room under the name Mofet so she goes there and finds a couple of things but most importantly a dead head in a glass case. Then Clarice goes back to the cell to talk with Hannibal and he tells whos head it is in the case but most importantly he says that he will help the FBI find Buffalo Bill. Then the next scene is Buffalo Bill striking again and kidnapping a girl. Then Clarice goes to examine one of the body found in a river. They dins a weird bug inside the person's throat. Then Clarice goes back to Hannibal to negotiate a deal to help out. They get it negotiated to where he moves and he also helps out with the case. Then later in the movie he escapes and is on the loose. Also we see who Buffalo Bill is for the first time. Then Clarice has to find out who and where Buffalo Bill is.

I thought that overall this movie was really good. I am not a huge fan of scary movies but this was kinda the perfect inbetween. It wasn't to scary but it was still thrilling. There a couple parts that I didn't understand or just don't know why they put them in the movie. Like in the beginning after Clarice’s first meeting with Hannibal why does she have a flash back with her dad. This never really make sense to me. Also I never really understood why Hannibal ordered the lamb chops before he escapes. I figured that was because Clarice just told him her story but that is kinda too simple. Also the end is kinda a huge cliff hanger. But I did really like the acting. Especially form Clarice and Hannibal, when they have there meetings there facial expressions are very impressive how calm and in control Hannibal looks while Clarice looks scared out of her mind and she is also really shaking when she talks to him. This is more so just in the beginning then she gets more confident. But overall, I thought that the acting as a whole was very good. I thought that the story line and sound was all very good. Some things that I noticed when watching the film when Clarice and Hannibal met they would always follow the rule of middle thirds where they are never in the middle of the shot but either the left or the right of the shot. Also, I don't think this would really go under lighting but the scenes with the night vision goggles are pretty cool and look very good.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this film. I enjoyed a lot for so many different reasons. It seems like in every seen you wonder what is going to happen next. For example when they find Hannibal dead in the elevator shaft but then he comes back in somebody else's body. This was so crazy.
